The Madinah Gate project aims to develop lands adjacent to the Al-Haramain High-Speed Railway in Madinah, to develop projects in various sectors of hospitality, markets and transportation media that are directly related to the Al-Haramain High-Speed Railway to serve visitors, pilgrims, Umrah performers and users of the station, as it will be developed in the form of a transport-oriented development (TOD) designed to accommodate the passengers in addition to domestic and international demand for retail and hospitality.
The project is designed on the latest foundations for planning projects related to railway stations and architectural components that serve the stations and complement their development elements, to serve the visitors and pilgrims of the city who use the train, which is expected to have more than 10 million passengers a year by 2028. The designs also work to achieve integration between the hospitality, markets and transportation sectors as an element of the success of the project as the first development project linked to a railway station in the Kingdom, and to enhance its economic viability and the targeted benefit to meet the need of the growing number of visitors and pilgrims within the development plans in Madinah, as announced in the Quality of Life Program 2020, the Tourism Authority and the Doyof Al Rahman Program, The project will include a 4 stars hotel tower to be operated by HDT (Hilton Double Tree), with 275 hotel keys, 50 suites & serviced apartments, and 23,000 meters retail areas connected to the train station and bus station.
